Is It Time To Replace Your Battery?

We've all been there. You wake up in the morning to find that your car won't start. Nine times out of 10, your battery is to blame. Your battery provides an electrical charge to your starter. Your starter starts your engine. Without a functioning battery, your car won't start.

Sometimes there's a simple fix for a dead battery. Before you replace your battery, check the water levels and try charging it with an automotive battery charger. Volvo Cars of Roanoke's service center will test your battery's voltage for you.

If you do need a new battery, there are a few things to keep in mind. A conventional lead-acid battery is your least expensive option, but these batteries do not last as long as some of the newer options. Lithium batteries are more efficient and last longer. They cost more, but they are also less likely to lose their charge.
